This UCSP class module discusses the membership of the Philippines in international (United Nations) and regional (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) organizations to help address global problems such as climate change and pandemics such as the recent COVID-19, wars and conflicts, trade, and human rights violations.
This module touches on a critical front - human rights - in which the Philippines has made significant inroads. Following this, the module provides information on the UN's eight (8) core international human rights instruments. It delves into what is contained in the United Nations Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR).
Objective
