This storybook is a product of the Division Competition on Storybook Writing from 2017-2019 of the Department of Education – Zamboanga del Sur Division. It’s a story about a young boy named Vanatnat and the small task given to him by his mother. Written with a Josefina-Subanen translation, this aims to teach learners the importance of honesty, forgiveness, and obedience. Further, this material will somehow help children learn the basic principles of mathematics.
Objective
This material aims to provide the learners the characteristics of being honest and valuing oneself. Further, this also intends to recognize and identify coins and bills up to Ph20(pesos and centavos), recognize the words "take away", "less", and "are left" that indicate the act of subtracting whole numbers. Additionally, this also aims to let the learners identify the different places in the community.
