Filling glasses: create the right glass

Description
Look closely at some line graphs. Examine the relationship between the shape of a glass and the time taken to fill it with juice. Notice that the fluid level rises more quickly in a narrow glass than in a wide glass. Choose both parts of the composite-shaped glass to match a line graph representing its filling rate. This learning object is one in a series of five objects.
Objective
1. Students create and interpret graphs that represent the relationship between quantities and show the rates of change.
2. Students match different shaped vessels with the line graphs representing their filling rates.
