pH: noughts and crosses

Learning Material  |  Interactive Lesson  |  RAR

Description
Use your knowledge of the pH of different substances to play noughts and crosses against another player. Pick a square, then match the pH that appears to the correct substance to claim that square. Use clues on the container labels to make your choice. For example, if ‘pH 2’ appears in the square, selecting vinegar from a range of options will claim it. Remember, all acids and bases including the dilute solutions used in this object, can be harmful and should be handled with care. This learning object is one in a series of six objects.
Objective
Students use clues about the properties and uses of substances to match substances to their pH.
