Description
Solve crimes by identifying pure substances and components of mixtures. Carry out urgent chemical tests on common substances such as salt, baking soda and sugar. Observe and record how each substance reacts with a range of liquids and to heat. Build up a data table of chemical properties and use it to match a mystery substance found at a crime scene. Improve your chances of catching the criminal by doing as few tests as possible. This learning object is one in a series of five learning objects. Some of the objects in the series are also packaged in two combined learning objects.
Objective
