Help sort single shapes, or pairs of shapes, in the shape factory. Examine examples of basic shapes that belong in the Yes set. Examine examples of basic shapes that do not belong in the set. Work out what features of the shapes are important and test your ideas by sorting some shapes. Then program the robot and see if it sorts the shapes correctly. This learning object is the first in a series of six objects.
Objective
Students apply inductive reasoning to identify line symmetry or congruence of 2D shapes.
