Lesson guide for teachers to develop reading, writing and comprehension skills of Grade 1 pupils in the Ilokano Language.
Objective
1. Read Grade 1 level text with appropriate intonation, expression and punctuation cues.
2. Predict outcomes of stories, fables, legends, events and social issues based on text.
3. Write simple sentences, phrases, paragraphs and stories with correct punctuation marks, capitalization and indentions.
4. Develop, comprehend and use vocabulary words by listening to sounds produced and heard locally.
5. Identify the use of synonyms, antonyms, homonyms and multiple meaning words correctly.
6. Discuss meanings and develop through meaningful and concrete experiences.
7. Identify proper names of persons, places and things.
