Consider the impact vehicles have on our planet. Build a passenger car that causes as little harm as possible to the environment. Choose a body size, engine size, fuel type and accessories. Compare the greenhouse gas emissions of the vehicle with a target figure set by the Australian Government. If your car produces emissions above the target, rebuild it to reduce its impact on global warming. This learning object is one in a series of six objects.
Objective
1. Students relate a vehicle’s features to its impact on the environment.
2. Students select product components according to personal preferences.
