Eyeball challenge: mission 1

Learning Material  |  Interactive Lesson

Published on 2018 August 13th

Description
Investigate a range of animal eyes: dog, cat, bee, fish, eagle and human. Discover how these animals see things in different ways because their eyes have different structures. For example, look at an animal's field of view, how it focuses and sees colours. Find your way through an ancient temple by choosing eyes suited to avoiding hazards and solving puzzles (killer bees, wall tile, rock bridge). Explore each vision system to work out how to reach the treasure. This learning object is a combination of three objects in a series of seven objects.
Objective
Students explore the structure and function of the eyes of a range of animals.
Students compare how different animals perceive the same scene as a result of differences in their visual systems
