Description
Search for small creatures in a New Zealand garden. Find animals such as a bumblebee, a weta and a woolly bear caterpillar. Have a close look at their body parts. Identify groups of creatures that have similar body features such as wings or number of legs. Return all the animals to their habitats. This learning object is a combination of two objects in the same series.
Objective

Students recognize that that the environment contains many living and non-living things too small to be seen clearly without magnification.
Students classify tiny animals from the environment in a number of ways.
Students recognize that many small living things have similarities and differences to larger living things.
Students appreciate the diversity of plants and animals.
