This module introduces the value of social dances and dance mixers in the enhancement of an individual's fitness.
Objective
1. Undertake physical activity and physical fitness assessments.
2. Assess eating habits based on the Philippine food pyramid/myfoodplate.
3. Determine risk factors for lifestyle diseases (obesity, diabetes, heart disease).
4. Distinguish among facts, myths and misinformation associated with eating habits.
5. Describe the nature and background of the dance.
6. Execute the skills involved in the dance.
7. Monitor periodically one’s progress towards the fitness goals.
8. Perform appropriate first aid for injuries and emergency situations in physical activity and dance settings (cramps, sprain, heat exhaustion).
9. Involve oneself in community service through dance activities.
10. Recognize the needs of others in a real life and meaningful way.
