Test your understanding of push and pull forces by moving animals using monkey power. Investigate and then predict the effects of applying a force to move a range of objects of various mass. For example, select two monkeys to move a pelican, and predict whether they will move the pelican slowly, quickly or too fast.

Students investigate the meaning of 'push' and 'pull' forces.
Students investigate the effect of applying a greater force to an object.
Students apply a force to move an object that is at rest and identify the minimum force needed to move the object.
Students predict the outcome of applying a force to a range of objects of various mass.
