Module 1 of the CSC class introduces the learners to the community and how it is defined based on perspectives such as social science, institutional, civil and grassroots levels. The module also discusses what makes up a sense of community, and the significance of understanding community dynamics and community action. Moreover, learners are taught how to recognize the importance of being connected to the community
