This self learning module in Music is intended for Grade 9 learners wherein they will learn to listen perceptively to selected vocal and instrumental music of Medieval, Renaissance and Baroque music; relate Medieval, Renaissance and Baroque music to its historical and cultural background through dramatization and sing Medieval chant, troubadour song, madrigal, chorale and selections from oratorio with correct pitch, rhythm, expression and style
Objective
At the end of the lesson, the learner is expected to:
a. listen perceptively to selected vocal and instrumental music of Medieval, Renaissance and Baroque music; relate Medieval, Renaissance and Baroque music to its historical and cultural background through dramatization and sing Medieval chant, troubadour song, madrigal, chorale and selections from oratorio with correct pitch, rhythm, expression and style.
