Description
This is Special Program in Foreign Language-Chinese Mandarin 8, a thirty-two-week subject that will teach you the basics of the most widely spoken language of the world and one of the official languages of the United Nations, the Chinese Mandarin. This is a beginner Chinese course consisting of 24 lessons divided into 8 units. This subject is designed specifically to suit non-native Chinese learners and uses the Pinyin writing system which is being used to transcribe Chinese phonemes into the Roman letters. Each module consists of Dialogue (Animation), New Words, New Words Exercise, Sentence Patterns, Sentence Patterns Exercise, Matching Type Activity, and Pronunciation Drills. After taking this subject, you are expected to pass level 2 (CEFR A1-B) of the international standardized test for Chinese language proficiency, the Youth Chinese Test (YCT).
