The Panimulang Pagbasa is a workbook which will aid teachers comply with the program-ECARP of the Department of Education. Using the Marungko Approach in this workbook, the well-defined process and sequential letters will help the teachers facilitate the reading instruction easily among the Grade One learners who are starting to read and those in the primary grades with reading difficulty. Likewise, the stimulating activities will help the learners master the basic skills in beginning reading. Furthermore, after the third lesson in this workbook, the pupils can already read short words, phrases and even sentences from the letters they have learned.
Objective
1. Demonstrates the basic skills in beginning reading particularly the sound, form and name of the letters to be able to form and read words, phrases and sentences.
2. Provides the Grade One and other primary grade learners exposure to different activities in beginning reading.
3. Increases the reading ability of the primary pupils
