This module will discuss three (2) lessons, namely:
Lesson 1 – Internet Connections
Lesson 2 – Search Engines
Objective
At the end of lesson 1 and 2, you will be able to:
1. describe the different ways to access the internet (dial-up (analog), DSL, cable, wireless, satellite,cellular;)
2. make use of the World Wide Web (www) to search for information (LS6DC-DS-PSD-AE/JHS-4); and
3. browse the world wide web using different types
of internet connections/internet service providers:
(LS6DC-DS-PSD-AE/JHS-5) (DSL, Wi-Fi, Ethernet)
4 use the different search engines in researching a topic (Yahoo, Google, MSN, Ask.com, AOL, Bing)
5. explain how to bookmark a website; and
6. demonstrate the process of downloading
and uploading files using websites.
