This self learning module in Mathematics is intended for Grade learners wherein they will learn to add two one-digit numbers using appropriate mental techniques e.g. adding doubles and/or near-doubles, visualize and add two one-digit numbers with sums up to 18 using the order and zero properties of addition, and visualize and add two to three one-digit numbers horizontally and vertically.
Objective
At the end of the lesson, the learner is expected to:
a. add two one-digit numbers using appropriate mental techniques e.g. adding doubles and/or near-doubles,
b. visualize and add two one-digit numbers with sums up to 18 using the order and zero properties of addition, and
c. visualize and add two to three one-digit numbers horizontally and vertically.
