Si Baldo ug ang Balde nga Pula is an interdisciplinary storybook to improve phonetic awareness among kindergarten learners. It focuses on the initial /b/ sound in the Sinugbuanong Binisaya language's Negros Occidental variation. The book also incorporates basic numeracy skills, teaching numbers from 1 to 5. Additionally, it promotes the understanding of colors and their variations, such as tint, hue, and shade. Lastly, the storybook is a support reading material for the Content Focus "We Care for One Another by Helping the Household Chores." This storybook encourages self-awareness, reflection, helpfulness, and teamwork among children and aims to enhance children's foundational skills and values.
