The story is about two friends who found summer vacation very boring, so they decided to head to the meadows to have some fun. However, the fun already started on their way to the meadows when they passed by different places and different people in amusing circumstances. They enjoyed seeing the sceneries that reflect local color or culture of their small community. Upon arriving at the meadows, they discovered that it was no longer a barren land because it was turned into a banana plantation, so, so they decided to go home. They were not able to play in the meadows, but they went home happy because they already had so much time on their way to the meadows.
Objective
To determine the meaning of words and expressions that reflect the local culture by noting context clues, and to Analyze literature as a mirror to a shared heritage of people with diverse backgrounds.
