Numeracy is the ability to understand numbers and calculations. As they become numerate, students develop the confidence, willingness, and ability to apply these skills to different learning areas at school and their lives beyond classroom. In this lesson, pupils are using their previous knowledge of the number 0-10 to make comparisons and determine two groups of objects and tell whether one group has more, less or equal.
Objective
1. Count objects with one-to-one correspondence up to quantities of 10.
2. Recognize and identify numerals 0 to 10
3. Read numbers 0-10.
4. Compare two groups of objects to decide which is more or less, or if they are equal.
