This material is the story of Ronel, a young boy from the rural village of Balatogan, helps his father, Mang Titoy, harvest and sell bananas to sustain their simple life. As he witnesses his father’s sacrifices, Ronel begins to wonder why they must endure such hardships. Through this experience, Mang Titoy imparts a meaningful lesson that life’s true worth is not found in comfort or ease, but in the love that inspires hard work, the spirit of service, and the practice of gratitude and appreciation.
